Olive Wood Ornaments
Ornaments were first displayed in Germany (about 1605) when a tree was brought inside and decorated with paper roses, candles and wafers. About the same time the Franciscan monks who had settled in Bethlehem brought carvers from Italy to help the local artisans. From that time on carving beautiful Olive Wood became a livelihood for many of the Christians in the area. Consider decorating your tree this year with Olive Wood ornaments with carved nativities – just $5 each.
